Tetrafluoroboric acid diethyl ether complex can be used to facilitate phosphine-borane decomplexation from bisphosphine-borane complexes for the preparation of bisphosphine ligands.[1] It can also act as ligands to synthesize with transition-metal complexes.[2][3]
