Accumax™ solution sterile-filtered, suitable for cell culture
TM=["Accumax"] solution has been used:
• for detaching single walled carbon nanotubes from the extracellular matrix (ECM) in epithelial cells[1]
• for dissociation of retinal pigmented epithelial cells
prior to passaging[2]
• for dissociation of islets from pancreas[3]
Accumax has proven effective in dissociating clumped cells in suspension cultures of hybridomas, CHO, BHK, 293, COS and Sf9 cells. The solution performed extremely well in dissociating cell counting, viral transfection assays, cell sorting, flow cytometry, and bioreactor scale-up. It has also been used to create single cell suspensions from clumped cell cultures for accurate cell counting, detachment of cells from primary tissue, and the routine detachment of cells from standard tissue culture plasticware and adhesion coated plasticware.
Accumax is a cell detachment solution consisting of proteolytic and collagenolytic enzymes. Each bottle has 100 mL of 1x Accumax enzymes in Dulbecco′s PBS. There are no mammalian or bacterial-derived products found in Accumax.
Ready-to-use sterile liquid for in vitro cell applications
Accumax is stable when stored at -20°C. After thawing, the product can be stored for up to 2 months at 4°C.
Prepared in Dulbecco′s PBS (0.2 g/L KCl, 0.2 g/L KH2PO4, 8 g/L NaCl, and 1.15 g/L Na2HPO4). Refer to Product Data Sheet on the website for product usage information.
This product is supplied as a sterile, ready-to-use frozen liquid. Accumax should be thawed at 37°C before use, and added at equal volume to a sample of clumped cells. Allow 5-10 minutes at 37°C for incubation and count cells as you would normally.
