Phosphate buffered saline pH 7.2 (25 °C)
Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) is an isotonic buffer solution. This water-based salt solution is made up of disodium hydrogen phosphate, sodium chloride and, in some preparations, potassium chloride and potassium dihydrogen phosphate. PBS is generally used in biological research.[2]
It has also been used for the dilution of capture antibody during α-hemolysin (Hla) enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).[3]
Phosphate buffered saline has been used in bis-benzimide accumulation assay.[1]
